The key to fishing vibe lures for yellowbelly is the lift-drop technique. Cast across or slightly upstream, let the lure sink to the bottom or into the strike zone, then work it with a sharp rod lift followed by controlled slack. Most strikes come on the drop. Keep the cadence slow and deliberate — yellas aren't in a hurry, and burning a vibe back doesn't do you any favours.
